Winter (November to February)
In the winter, November is the best month to visit Jim Corbett. The cool, pleasant weather makes it ideal for safaris and exploring the park's diverse terrain. This is also the best time for tiger spotting, with the ferocious Bengal tigers frequently seen basking in the winter sun. The clear skies and comfortable temperatures make winter perfect for trekking and enjoying the park's beauty.
Summer (March to June)
Summer brings warmer temperatures, but it’s also a fantastic time to witness wildlife as animals flock up to water sources. The heat drives animals to the riverbanks, making it easier to spot them, including the majestic tigers. Early morning and late afternoon safaris are particularly rewarding. Despite the heat, summer offers a unique glimpse into the park’s natural rhythms and behaviours.
Monsoon (July to September)
The Monsoon season transforms Jim Corbett into a lush, verdant paradise. The rains rejuvenate the landscape, filling rivers and streams, and creating a vibrant, green expanse throughout. While some areas may be closed for safaris due to muddy conditions, this season is a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers, as the park comes alive with migratory birds and blooming flora. Additionally, visitors can explore the serene Garjiya Devi Temple on the banks of the Kosi River and marvel at the picturesque Corbett Waterfall, both of which are particularly enchanting during the monsoon.
Post-monsoon (October)
As the rains retreat, October marks the Jim Corbett opening months - the prime tourist season. The park is lush and green, and wildlife sightings are generally excellent and abundant. The temperatures are moderate, and the park's beauty is at its peak. It's an ideal time for safaris, enchanting nature walks, and exploring the park’s many attractions.
